Terms of Service
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name], [Address] (“we”), which runs Shortif. By using Shortif you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use Shortif. Last updated: [Effective date].
Who can use Shortif
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU), and old enough to agree to these terms where you live; if you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree too. Some series are for mature audiences.
Your account
Shortif gives you a guest account when you first play an episode. You can save it with Google to use it on another device. Keep access to your device and Google account safe; you are responsible for what happens in your account. One person per account.
Free episodes, coins and VIP
- The first 10 episodes of every series are free.
- Later episodes show unlock options: watch an ad, use coins, unlock the whole series ($9.99) or join VIP.
- Shortif is in early access: unlocking is free and no payment is taken. The price shown is for information.
- Coins and VIP have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and can be changed or removed during early access.
- If we start charging, we will tell you the price, renewal and refund terms before you pay, and nothing will be charged without your clear agreement.
What you may do with the series
We let you stream Shortif series for your own personal, non-commercial viewing. You may share links. You may not download, copy, re-upload, sell or publicly show the series, or remove the AI label, without our written permission. All series, names and artwork belong to us or our licensors.
Fair use
- Do not break, overload or get around the app's protections, including locked episodes and ad checks.
- Do not scrape or collect content or data with bots, except search engines that follow our robots.txt.
- Do not use Shortif for anything illegal.
AI-generated content
Shortif series are written and filmed with AI and are labelled as AI-generated on the video. They are fiction: no real person is portrayed, and any resemblance to a real person or event is unintended.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on Shortif infringes your rights, write to [contact email] with the work, where it appears on Shortif, your contact details and a statement that you are the owner or act for them. We will review it and remove material where appropriate.
The service as it is
Shortif is in early access. It is provided “as is”: series, features and prices may change or stop, and it may sometimes be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties beyond those you cannot waive.
Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the last 12 months or [Liability cap amount]. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
Ending your use
You can stop using Shortif and sign out at any time, and ask us to delete your account at [contact email]. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing law], and disputes go to the courts of [Courts / venue], unless the consumer law where you live gives you the right to use your local courts. Please contact us first at [contact email]; most problems can be solved that way.
Changes
We may update these terms. We change the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app. If you keep using Shortif after a change, the new terms apply. See also the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
